Apple iPhone 3GS release date in India

The iPhone 3GS is expected to release in India this month (August 2009) although there has been no official confirmation regarding the same. We tried contacting Apple and also the official carrier of the iPhone in India, Airtel and Vodafone.. None had any info on the release date. Quite unfortunate as most expected the phone to release on August 9th 2009.

But good news is, the phone should be officially available soon and the price of iPhone 3G is expected to drop by around 10 -- 15% which should make it much more affordable for Indians. The approximate price of the two different iPhone versions with storage space being the only difference between the two.
