Nokia E72 is the improved version of the popular Nokia E71, which was the highest selling E-series device from Nokia. The device has received a major hardware upgrade and is the first phone with a 5 megapixel camera for the E-Series. Upgrades for the Nokia E72 over E71:

  • The biggest upgrade is the 5 mega pixel camera. Nokia has promised drastic quality improvements, over the poor camera in the E71.
  • Optical Trackpad is awesome
  • Much faster processor (E71 had 369mhz processor), phone should be super fast!
  • The 2.5mm jack was criticized in the E71, Nokia E72 thankfully has the standard 3.5mm audio jack.
  • Battery life has been increased by tweaking the software, uses the same battery as E71.
  • Accelerometer for auto-rotate and turn-to-mute feature (and others with apps, games)
  • Phone memory has been doubled, torch key (uses the LED flash), compass, two new keys for brackets.

Negatives

  • Video recording remains the same, VGA at a disappointing 15 frame rates per second.
  • Software-wise almost remains the same.

Nokia E72 Colors:

  1. Zodium Black
  2. Metal Grey
  3. Topaz Brown

Nokia E72 Price in India:

The price of Nokia E72, when it releases in a month or so from now, should be around Rs 18,200 with bill and 1 year of warranty. The price is definitely on the higher side and should reduce by around 10%, 2 months after release. Any questions please post in the comments section.

Current price of E71 is around 12800 and for E72 is around 16500.

Symbian OS is an underwhelmed OS for mobiles and handhelds which is today pretty aged and underwhelmed today.
Windows Mobile gives you the same shoddy, crappy, buggy, fucked up, shitty, virus-prone, crawling, experience that makes microsoft the legendary multi-billionaire company of the decade. A whole generation of lost-souls grew up with this suffering and continue to be suckers for it. so no surprise the oldies prefer this os-from-hell for their mobiles. The trendy and happening young hip crowd prefers apple, blackberry, or android.
